01 / The Flock

Six animals, six stories.

Every print starts as ink on paper at the kitchen table. Then it’s pulled by hand onto soft, pre-shrunk cotton. Limited runs – when they’re gone, they’re gone.

02 / The Studio

From a cabin on the Shield.

The studio is a log cabin just outside of Huntsville – cedar walls, a wood stove, and a screen-printing press wedged where a kitchen table should be. Every shirt that leaves here passed under the hands of two people.

We draw what we see: the bold-shouldered raven that watches us split kindling, the moose that forages the swamps at dusk, the chickadee that hops along the porch rail in February asking, politely, for seed.

03 / How it’s made

Ink, screen, cotton, repeat.

Four steps, no factory. We keep batches small on purpose – it’s the only way we know how to make something we’re proud to put our name on.

→ Step 01

Drawn from life.

Photos and field sketches first, then refined at the cabin desk until the silhouette feels right.

→ Step 02

Burned to screen.

Each animal becomes a hand-coated emulsion screen. Two-color prints get two screens, three get three.

→ Step 03

Pulled by hand.

One shirt, one pull, one cure under heat. Tiny variations between prints – that’s the whole point.

→ Step 04

Tagged & sent.

Hand-tied kraft tag, folded into a paper sleeve, posted from the Huntsville depot every Friday.

04 / Field Notes

Letters from the bush.

Occasional dispatches from the studio – new drops first, the odd lake photo, what we’re working on. No spam, no marketing speak. About one every six weeks.

“The lake doesn’t freeze evenly. The raven knows where to land.”
